ALTER BRIDGE RETURN TO THE ROAD THIS SPRING WITH NATIONAL TOUR
“Isolation” Remains At #1 Spot on the Rock Charts for 3 Consecutive Weeks
(January 31, 2011 – New York, NY) Alter Bridge will hit the road again this spring with dates in support of their recently released album, ABIII. The band’s cross-country trek will kick off in Portland, OR on April 21 and will make stops in Las Vegas, Anaheim, Chicago and New York. This tour will also see the band playing in some markets for the first time in their career. These first time markets include Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Knoxville and Nashville. In addition, the band is set to play several yet to be announced major festival shows. There will be more information to come as more dates are announced. Black Stone Cherry has been tapped to open for Alter Bridge on the headline leg of the tour.
The group is also enjoying continued success on the Active and Mainstream Rock Charts with “Isolation” as the single claims the #1 spot for the third week in a row. “Isolation” is the group’s first #1 single in their career. Each of the band’s two previous albums had singles land at #2, “Open Your Eyes” from their debut album One Day Remains and “Rise Today” from their critically acclaimed sophomore effort Blackbird. ABIII was self-released on Alter Bridge recordings via EMI label services and debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Alter Bridge recently completed their first US tour in two years and until they hit the road again this spring be sure to check out the much anticipated recently released DVD and live CD, Alter Bridge – Live From Amsterdam. Released on January 11th, 2011 by DC3 Music Group and Alter Bridge, the DVD was directed and produced by Award-Winning Director Daniel E Catullo III (Rush, Rage Against The Machine, Godsmack) and was recorded during the band’s 2008 Blackbird tour. Showcasing some of the band’s most memorable hits including “Rise Today,” “Open Your Eyes” and “Broken Wings”, the Deluxe Box set includes 2 discs- a DVD with the full show/ documentary and a live CD. The packaging also includes a 16 page color book. A Blu-Ray version is also available for those who would like to watch the concert in its full HD glory.
